3D printing is not only more popular, it's more important than ever. Advances in printing technology and the growing demands of science and industrial-scale use have made it an essentially inescapable technology over the past decades, and it continues to grow at an increasing rate, with the advent of cheaper, simpler desktop 3D printers making it available to the general public for use at home, even as a hobby. The Centre for 3D Printing and Visualisation of Pécs Science is therefore launching a series of educational events aimed at introducing the world of 3D printing to the public, whether they are engineers, educators or lay people with no prior training.
