The collaboration between the paediatrics traumatology of PTE Clinical Centre and PTE 3D is now in its 5th year

2023-05-30

The Department of Paediatrics traumatology of the Clinical Centre is supporting its training programme with 3D models made in the UP 3D Centre.

At the University of Pécs, the treatment of paediatric traumatological fractures is practiced on bone models developed at the 3D Printing and Visualisation Centre of the University of Pécs. The models are used in medical training and in advanced training in traumatology in order to improve the quality of education and the development of paediatric traumatology.

For 5 years now, paediatric traumatology and PTE 3D have been working together on the development of models, which have led to the production of increasingly high-quality bone models. The collaboration between the two departments not only improves the quality of education, but also helps to make it more economical, given the high cost of bone models formerly ordered from abroad.

The Univ TV has produced a report on the collaboration, which can be viewed here.
