Exemplary Innovation: A Newly Emerging Method to Help Patients Suffering from Untreatable Forms of Epilepsy
A newly emerging form of treatment involves the use of a deep electrode test, first introduced in Hungary at the University of Pécs. It promises new hope for at least a thousand patients suffering from an incurable form of epilepsy. Recent developments now help determine the location of the veiled epileptic nodule.

Cooperative Unity Expressed Among Corvus-Med Ltd. and the PTE 3D Center
Corvus-Med Kft., was orginally founded in 2009, in Pécs, and today is a manufacturer and distributor of medical aid devices (artificial limbs, plastic and textile corsets and various walking machines). Additionally, Corvus-Med Kft., provides medical care closely related to the successful rehabilitation to individuals with a disability.

Remarkably, this is the first time representatives of the University of Pecs Medical School participated including the "Development of Skill Labs Project” (EFOP-4.2.2-16-2017-00001). Their exhibition focused on the professional objectives of the project, their current status and their future plans.
Hippopotamus in Flake Weight: 3D Printed Herd Corralled In Pécs and Ready for Action!
Today, the anatomical features of the various species housed in the City Zoo of Pécs are explained to children through the use of of exotic animal bones, such as a a hippopotamus or tiger skull, snake skeleton, sea bass and many other specialties. Each specimen is free to hold, explore, and the biggest one is light enough for all these actions.

During this year’s 3rd International Interdisciplinary 3D Conference, Mr. Krisztian Sztojanov, broke away briefly from the excitement surrounding both him and his exhibition kiosk, E-Nable, to gracefully share several words us regarding the phenomenal potential of 3D print technology, his return to Pecs as a Guest Speaker and concepts in medicine with respect to 3D printed objects aiding human kind.
Local High School Students Encounter 3D Technology
On June 15, 2018, students from the School of Mathematics and Informatics, Babits High School, visited the PTE 3D Center. Thirty-two students enjoyed a precursor of contemporary 3D technology's mysteries in the scope of a 90 minute program held in the 3D center’s workshop.

On 21st March 2018 was the Grand Opening of PTE 3D Laboratory with ultramodern 3D printers and several special diagnostic and research equipment, which is going to have a significant part in education and research. Moreover as a Visitor Center, it is going to be freely accessible for anyone who is interested in science and modern technology. The Handover Ceremony of the 3D Lab is attended by Péter Cserháti the director of the National Rehabilitation Institute, Zsolt Páva Mayor of Pécs and József Bódis, Rector of the University of Pécs.
